Welcome!

I have maintained an internet presence since the release of Windows XP back in 2001. My first website was hosted on my Windows XP computer and delivered over a dial-up followed by a DSL connection. The experience though ignited a passion in me to develop and implement websites for my own use as well as to help others. To date I own and operate about 20 websites and communities. I have also developed, administrated sites and forums for others. For my own sites my emphasis is based around my own hobbies such as bicycling, mountain biking, photography and a host of outdoor activities.

Getting to this point nearly 17 years later I have earned a lot of trial by fire experience. This experience has me constantly being contacted and contracted for help. It seems that while today it’s easier than ever to physically create a website with software like WordPress, Wix and Weebly and Squarespace other aspects are becoming more confusing. Basic things like registering domains, hosting are and probably always be a challenge for folks just starting out. Today’s new challenges are supporting all these new platforms, SEO and marketing.

Today folks need to not only learn the software their site runs on they also to do a lot of other things right so visitors and search engines actually visit their site. My goal with this site is to present relevant information in it’s simplest format. Ill save the really technical stuff for other sites that are often beyond the skill level of most web novices. One of my best skills is teaching folks and I’m pretty good at looking at technical challenges from a novice perspective. I will admit to being a terrible writer though so please forgive that.
